Membership

IFIP WG13.6 HWID accepts two types of membership: Members and Observers.

Members

Members are expected to be qualified researchers or practitioners that have been active participants in the Working Group activites. Active participation means a positive contribution to the work of the WG, at least once in every three years, for example by the presentation of papers or assisting in running a project or by playing an active role in the organisation of a meeting or a working conference, workshop, or seminar. Members are entitled to vote for Chair's election.

Observers

Observers are expected to be qualified researchers or practitioners who attended WG events, even without being active in their organization or without presenting papers. Observers who do not attend at least one event every three years will lose their status.
